Ingredients

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 10-inch cake pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
- Add the egg and egg yolk, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and sprinkles with a spatula.
- Transfer the dough to the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
- Cool completely in the pan before removing.
To Make the Vanilla Buttercream Frosting:
- Beat butter on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt, mixing until combined.
