Instructions
- Prepare the Avocados:
- Slice the avocados in half, remove the pits, and gently peel off the skins.
- Cut each half into 4–5 thick slices for evenly sized fries.
- Set Up Coating Stations:
- In one bowl, whisk the eggs until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and black pepper.
- Coat the Avocado Slices:
- Dip each avocado slice into the whisked egg, ensuring it is fully coated.
- Transfer the slice to the breadcrumb mixture and press gently to coat all sides evenly.
- Repeat with all slices and set them on a tray or plate.
- Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Air Fry the Avocado Fries:
- Arrange the coated avocado slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they do not overlap.
- Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
- Prepare the Dipping Sauce:
- In a small bowl, mix the ranch dressing with sriracha until smooth.
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or less sriracha to suit your preference.
- Serve and Garnish:
- Once the avocado fries are cooked, sprinkle them with coarse salt and drizzle with fresh lime juice if desired.
- Serve immediately with the sriracha ranch dipping sauce on the side.
Notes
- Firmness is Key: Slightly under-ripe avocados hold their shape better during cooking.
- Batch Cooking: For even crispiness, avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
- Alternative Coatings: Add spices like paprika, garlic powder, or cayenne to the breadcrumb mixture for extra flavor.
- Serve Fresh: These fries taste best right out of the air fryer when they’re hot and crispy.
