Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg.
  4. Place the panko breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  5. Dredge each chicken tender in the flour mixture, shaking off the excess.
  6. Dip the floured chicken tender into the beaten egg, then coat it with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  7. Arrange the coated chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray or brush with cooking oil for extra crispiness.
  8. Cook the chicken tenders in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
  9. While the chicken is cooking, prepare the honey butter garlic sauce by combining melted butter, honey, and minced garlic in a small bowl.
  10. Once the chicken tenders are done, toss them in the honey butter garlic sauce until well coated.
