Apple Cinnamon Blondies are a delicious treat you must try!
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups peeled and diced apples (about 2 medium apples)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture, stirring until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples and nuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- For an extra layer of flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg or a pinch of cloves to the dry ingredients.
- Substitute the apples with pears or a mix of dried fruits for a different twist on this recipe.
