Description

Apple Cinnamon Blondies are a delicious treat you must try!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups peeled and diced apples (about 2 medium apples)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture, stirring until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the diced apples and nuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

  • For an extra layer of flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg or a pinch of cloves to the dry ingredients.
  • Substitute the apples with pears or a mix of dried fruits for a different twist on this recipe.
