Description
A delicious blend of creamy cheesecake and apple crisp, perfect for dessert lovers.
Ingredients
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples (about 2 medium apples)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan with cooking spray or butter.
- In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup granulated sugar. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared springform pan to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with 1 cup granulated sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, mix in the sour cream until fully incorporated.
- In another bowl, toss the diced apples with cinnamon and nutmeg. Fold the apple mixture into the cream cheese batter.
- Pour the cheesecake batter over the cooled crust in the springform pan.
- In a small bowl, combine the rolled oats, brown sugar, and flour. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the cheesecake batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
- Turn off the oven and crack the door open, allowing the cheesecake to cool in the oven for about 1 hour.
- After cooling, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Once chilled, carefully remove the sides of the springform pan, slice, and serve.
Notes
- For a caramel twist, drizzle caramel sauce over the top before serving or mix some into the apple filling.
- Substitute the apples with pears or peaches for a different fruit flavor, or mix a combination of fruits for added variety.
