Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 4 large eggs

- 4 cups peeled, cored, and chopped apples (about 4 medium apples)
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- 1 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Whisk together until well blended.
- In another bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped apples, nuts, and raisins (if using) until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
