Description

Bacon Brown Sugar Pork Tenderloin is a delicious and savory dish that combines the sweetness of brown sugar with the smoky flavor of bacon, creating a delightful meal perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 pork tenderloins (about 1 pound each)
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pat the pork tenderloins dry with paper towels. Rub the brown sugar mixture all over the tenderloins, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  4. Wrap each tenderloin with 4 slices of bacon, securing the ends with toothpicks if necessary.
  5. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, sear the bacon-wrapped tenderloins for about 3-4 minutes on each side until the bacon is crispy.
  6. Drizzle the apple cider vinegar over the tenderloins, then transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Roast for 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  7. Remove the skillet from the oven and let the pork rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider marinating the pork in the brown sugar mixture for a few hours or overnight.
  • You can also substitute the bacon with prosciutto for a different taste.
  • For a spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the brown sugar mixture.
