Description
Bacon Brown Sugar Pork Tenderloin is a delicious and savory dish that combines the sweetness of brown sugar with the smoky flavor of bacon, creating a delightful meal perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 pork tenderloins (about 1 pound each)
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 slices of bacon
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Pat the pork tenderloins dry with paper towels. Rub the brown sugar mixture all over the tenderloins, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Wrap each tenderloin with 4 slices of bacon, securing the ends with toothpicks if necessary.
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, sear the bacon-wrapped tenderloins for about 3-4 minutes on each side until the bacon is crispy.
- Drizzle the apple cider vinegar over the tenderloins, then transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Roast for 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
- Remove the skillet from the oven and let the pork rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider marinating the pork in the brown sugar mixture for a few hours or overnight.
- You can also substitute the bacon with prosciutto for a different taste.
- For a spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the brown sugar mixture.
