Ingredients
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 6 ounces bacon, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts, chopped bacon, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss until the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated.
- Spread the mixture in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the Brussels sprouts are tender and the bacon is crispy.
- If using, drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the Brussels sprouts and toss to combine before serving.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the mixture before roasting.
- Substitute the bacon with turkey bacon or omit it entirely for a vegetarian version, adding extra olive oil for flavor.
