Description
A delicious and comforting Bacon Cheeseburger Rice Bowl that combines the flavors of a classic cheeseburger with rice.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
- Add the diced onion to the skillet and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the cooked rice to the skillet and stir until everything is well combined.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top and cover the skillet for 2-3 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt.
- Serve the rice bowl topped with crispy bacon and chopped green onions.
Notes
- For a healthier option, substitute ground turkey for ground beef.
- You can also add diced tomatoes or pickles for extra flavor and texture.
- If you prefer a spicier kick, add a dash of hot sauce or some chopped jalapeños.
