Baked Caesar Chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make dinner that combines the flavors of Caesar salad with tender chicken breasts, topped with a crispy breadcrumb and cheese crust.
Ingredients
- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound)
- 1 cup Caesar salad dressing
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix the Caesar dressing, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
- Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour half of the Caesar dressing mixture over them, ensuring they are well coated.
- In another bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs and half of the Parmesan cheese. Mix well.
- Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the chicken breasts, pressing down lightly to adhere.
- Drizzle the remaining Caesar dressing over the top of the breadcrumbs and sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- If desired, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes to achieve a golden brown crust.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if using.
Notes
- For added flavor, marinate the chicken in the Caesar dressing for 30 minutes before baking.
- Substitute the Parmesan cheese with mozzarella for a different cheesy flavor.
