Banana Pudding Brownies are a delicious dessert that combines the rich flavors of brownies with the creamy sweetness of banana pudding, topped with mini marshmallows and crushed vanilla wafers.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup vanilla pudding mix (instant)
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup crushed vanilla wafers
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar, mixing until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the mashed bananas until evenly distributed.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and milk until smooth. Pour the pudding over the brownie batter, spreading it gently.
- Sprinkle the mini marshmallows and crushed vanilla wafers on top of the pudding layer.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the brownie layer comes out mostly clean.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before slicing into squares.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding 1/2 cup of chocolate chips to the brownie batter.
- For a fun twist, substitute the vanilla pudding with banana cream pudding for an extra banana flavor.
