Description
A delicious twist on traditional tiramisu, this Banana Pudding Tiramisu with Caramel combines layers of creamy mascarpone, ripe bananas, and a rich caramel sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 1/4 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
- 24 ladyfinger cookies
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Continue to whip until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- In a shallow dish, combine the brewed coffee and coffee liqueur, if using. Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture for about 2 seconds, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
- In a 9×9 inch baking dish, arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, then layer half of the sliced bananas on top.
- Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the bananas. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, bananas, and caramel sauce.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle with chopped walnuts, if desired.

- For a chocolate twist, add cocoa powder to the mascarpone mixture or use chocolate-flavored ladyfingers.
- Substitute the bananas with strawberries or peaches for a fruity variation.
