Description

A delicious and creamy dessert that combines the classic flavors of a banana split with the rich texture of cheesecake.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup chocolate syrup
  • ¼ cup crushed pineapple, drained
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • Maraschino cherries for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  6. Stir in the mashed bananas until evenly distributed.
  7. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  8. Gently fold the whipped cream into the banana cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
  9. Pour the banana cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  10. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top and sprinkle with crushed pineapple and chopped walnuts, if using.
  11. Cover the cheesecake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  12. Before serving, top each slice with a maraschino cherry.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute reduced-fat cream cheese and whipped topping.
  • You can also add a layer of sliced strawberries or blueberries on top for added flavor and color.
