Description

A delicious and layered dessert combining bananas, strawberries, pineapple, chocolate cake, and whipped cream, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned, drained)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup vanilla pudding (prepared)
  • 1 cup chocolate cake, cubed (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup crushed walnuts (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1/4 cup maraschino cherries, for topping

Instructions

  1. In a large trifle dish or a glass bowl, layer half of the cubed chocolate cake on the bottom.
  2. Add half of the sliced bananas, followed by half of the strawberries and pineapple chunks.
  3. Spoon half of the prepared vanilla pudding over the fruit layer.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in half of the whipped cream into the pudding mixture until combined.
  5. Spread half of the whipped cream mixture over the pudding layer in the trifle dish.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining chocolate cake, bananas, strawberries, pineapple, pudding mixture, and whipped cream.
  7. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top layer and sprinkle with crushed walnuts, if using.
  8. Finish with a generous topping of maraschino cherries.
  9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute the heavy cream with whipped topping and use sugar-free pudding.
  • For added flavor, consider layering in some crushed graham crackers or adding a layer of peanut butter between the pudding and whipped cream.
