Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (15 ounces) chili with beans
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 hot dog buns
  • 8 hot dogs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onions (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Stir in the chili with beans, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. While the chili is simmering, grill or boil the hot dogs according to package instructions.
  4. Toast the hot dog buns lightly on a grill or in the oven if desired.
