Description

A rich and creamy Black Forest Cheesecake Delight topped with cherry pie filling and chocolate shavings.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well mixed. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
  4. Add the sour cream to the mixture and fold gently until smooth. Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust and spread it evenly.
  5. Bake the cheesecake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour to cool gradually.
  6. Once cooled, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight to set completely.
  7. Before serving, spread the cherry pie filling over the top of the cheesecake. Dust with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate shavings.

Notes

  • For a richer chocolate flavor, add ½ cup of melted dark chocolate to the cream cheese mixture before baking.
