Description
A rich and creamy Black Forest Cheesecake Delight topped with cherry pie filling and chocolate shavings.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- Chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well mixed. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
- Add the sour cream to the mixture and fold gently until smooth. Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust and spread it evenly.
- Bake the cheesecake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour to cool gradually.
- Once cooled, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight to set completely.
- Before serving, spread the cherry pie filling over the top of the cheesecake. Dust with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate shavings.
Notes
- For a richer chocolate flavor, add ½ cup of melted dark chocolate to the cream cheese mixture before baking.
- Substitute the cherry pie filling with fresh berries or other fruit toppings for a different flavor profile.
