Description
Deliciously rich brownies swirled with creamy cheesecake and topped with fresh blackberries.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup fresh blackberries
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Dollop the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter, then add the remaining brownie batter on top.
- Use a knife or skewer to swirl the cream cheese mixture into the brownie batter gently.
- Scatter the fresh blackberries on top of the brownies.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add 1 teaspoon of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
- Try substituting raspberries or strawberries for the blackberries for a different berry flavor.
