Description

Deliciously rich brownies swirled with creamy cheesecake and topped with fresh blackberries.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Dollop the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter, then add the remaining brownie batter on top.
  8. Use a knife or skewer to swirl the cream cheese mixture into the brownie batter gently.
  9. Scatter the fresh blackberries on top of the brownies.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  11. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add 1 teaspoon of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
  • Try substituting raspberries or strawberries for the blackberries for a different berry flavor.
