Description

A refreshing twist on the classic mimosa, made with fresh blackberries and orange juice, perfect for brunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) sparkling wine or champagne, chilled
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, puree the fresh blackberries until smooth. If desired, strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve to remove the seeds.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the blackberry puree and orange juice. If you prefer a sweeter drink, stir in the sugar until dissolved.
  3. To serve, fill each champagne flute halfway with the blackberry-orange mixture.
  4. Top off each glass with chilled sparkling wine or champagne.
  5. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, substitute sparkling water or a non-alcoholic sparkling wine for the champagne.
  • Experiment with other fruits like strawberries or raspberries for different flavor profiles.
