Description

A delicious and easy recipe for Broccoli Cheese Balls that are perfect as a snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets, chopped finely
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet with olive oil.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until well combined.
  3. Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the balls are golden brown.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, you can steam the broccoli instead of boiling it to retain more nutrients.
  • Add cooked bacon bits or diced ham to the mixture for an extra savory flavor.
