Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets (or frozen, thawed)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken soup)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, broccoli florets, shredded cheddar cheese, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  4. If using breadcrumbs, melt the butter in a small pan and mix it with the breadcrumbs. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the casserole.
