Description
A rich and indulgent dessert combining layers of brownie, creamy cheesecake, and luscious caramel.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, divided
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup caramel sauce, divided
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt 1/2 cup of butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar, brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until well combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared springform pan and spread it evenly.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer in the pan.
- Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the cream cheese layer.
- Pour the remaining brownie batter over the caramel and cream cheese layers, spreading it gently.
- Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce on top and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before removing the sides of the springform pan.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a teaspoon of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
- You can also substitute the caramel sauce with chocolate ganache for a different twist.
