Description

A rich and indulgent dessert combining layers of brownie, creamy cheesecake, and luscious caramel.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, divided
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup caramel sauce, divided
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt 1/2 cup of butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar, brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared springform pan and spread it evenly.
  6. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer in the pan.
  7. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the cream cheese layer.
  8. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the caramel and cream cheese layers, spreading it gently.
  9. Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce on top and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  10. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  11. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before removing the sides of the springform pan.
  12. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a teaspoon of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
  • You can also substitute the caramel sauce with chocolate ganache for a different twist.
