Description

This creamy, spicy Buffalo Chicken Dip is the ultimate game day appetizer! Packed with shredded chicken, tangy buffalo sauce, rich cream cheese, and melty cheddar, it’s baked to bubbling perfection and perfect for scooping with chips, veggies, or bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound cooked, shredded chicken breast

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • ½ cup buffalo sauce (like Frank’s Red Hot)

  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

  • 2 tablespoons blue cheese or ranch dressing, for garnish

  • Fritos scoops, toasted baguette slices, carrot and celery sticks, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, sour cream, buffalo sauce, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese until well combined.

  3. Spread the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 1.5-quart oven-safe baking dish.

  4. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top.

  5. Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, until hot and bubbly and the cheese is fully melted.

  6. Remove from the oven and drizzle with blue cheese or ranch dressing.

  7. Serve warm with Fritos, baguette slices, or crunchy vegetables.

Notes

  • You can use rotisserie chicken for convenience.

  • Want it spicier? Add extra buffalo sauce or a few dashes of hot sauce.

  • Swap cheddar for Monterey Jack or a Mexican blend for a twist.

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat before serving.
