This Bunny Bait is the ultimate Easter snack—sweet, crunchy, and full of festive colors! A delicious combination of cereal, pretzels, peanuts, and M&M’s, all coated in smooth vanilla almond bark, makes it the perfect treat for Easter baskets, parties, or a fun springtime snack. Quick and easy to make, it’s sure to be a hit with both kids and adults!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups (112g) Rice Chex Cereal (or any flavor)
  • 3 cups (81g) Multigrain Cheerios (or any flavor)
  • 2 cups (86g) mini pretzel twists
  • 1 cup (132g) peanuts (or almonds)
  • 16 ounces (472g) vanilla almond bark (or white chocolate melts)
  • 1 (10-ounce) bag Easter M&M’s (any flavor)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Stage: Line a large cookie sheet with wax paper or parchment paper.
  2. Mix the Crunch: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Rice Chex, Cheerios, and pretzels.
  3. Melt the Magic: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the vanilla almond bark according to package directions (starting with 1 minute, then stirring, and continuing in 30-second increments until smooth).
  4. Coat and Combine: Pour the melted candy over the cereal mixture and stir well to evenly coat all ingredients.
  5. Let It Set: Spread the coated mix onto the prepared baking sheet and allow it to set. To speed up the process, place it in the fridge for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Finish with Fun: Once set, break the mix into bite-sized pieces and toss in the peanuts and M&M’s.
  7. Store and Snack: Keep the Bunny Bait in an airtight container for up to a week.

Notes

  • Swap out M&M colors to match different holidays or events.
  • Use peanut butter or butterscotch chips instead of white chocolate for a unique twist.
  • Make it nut-free by replacing peanuts with extra cereal or pretzels.
