Description

Butter Lush Dessert is a creamy, layered dessert that combines a buttery graham cracker crust with a rich cream cheese filling, vanilla pudding, and whipped topping, making it a delightful treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1 cup vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup whipped topping (for topping)
  • ¼ cup chocolate shavings or crushed nuts (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping until well combined.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and milk until it thickens, about 2 minutes. Pour the pudding over the cream cheese layer and spread it evenly.
  6. Top the pudding layer with the remaining 1 cup of whipped topping, smoothing it out to cover completely.
  7. Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  8. Before serving, garnish with chocolate shavings or crushed nuts if desired. Cut into squares and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a chocolate twist, use chocolate graham crackers for the crust and chocolate pudding instead of vanilla.
  • Add fresh fruit like sliced strawberries or bananas on top of the whipped topping for added flavor and color.
