Description
Delicious Butterfinger Caramel Cheesecake Bars that combine creamy cheesecake with a buttery graham cracker crust and a rich caramel topping.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup caramel sauce, divided
- 1 cup Butterfinger candy bars, crushed (about 4–5 bars)
- 1 cup whipped topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F. Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form the crust.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with ½ cup of sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Add the egg and mix until just combined.
- Pour half of the caramel sauce into the cream cheese mixture and stir to combine. Fold in the crushed Butterfinger candy bars.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the graham cracker crust. Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce on top and use a knife to swirl it gently into the cheesecake layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly. Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- Cut into bars and top with whipped topping before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a pinch of sea salt to the caramel sauce before drizzling it on top.
- You can substitute the Butterfinger bars with your favorite candy bars like Snickers or Reese’s for a different twist.
