Description
Delicious Butterfinger Caramel Cheesecake Bars with a creamy filling and a crunchy graham cracker crust.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup caramel sauce, divided
- 1 cup Butterfinger candy bars, chopped (about 4–5 bars)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Mix until the crumbs are well coated. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form a crust.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and ¾ cup of sugar together until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and sour cream until fully incorporated.
- Fold in ½ cup of the caramel sauce and the chopped Butterfinger candy bars into the cream cheese mixture. Pour the filling over the prepared crust and spread it evenly.
- Drizzle the remaining ½ cup of caramel sauce over the top of the cheesecake filling. Use a knife or toothpick to swirl the caramel into the cheesecake for a marbled effect.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the center is set and the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool at room temperature for about 1 hour. Then, refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Once chilled, cut into bars and serve.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of espresso powder to the cream cheese mixture.
- You can substitute the Butterfinger bars with your favorite candy bars like Snickers or Milky Way for a different twist.
