Description
Delicious Butterfinger Caramel Cheesecake Bars with a creamy filling and a crunchy crust, topped with caramel and Butterfinger pieces.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup caramel sauce, divided
- 1 cup Butterfinger candy bars, chopped (about 4–5 bars)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form a crust.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and ½ cup of sugar with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and sour cream until fully incorporated.
- Pour half of the cheesecake batter over the crust in the baking pan. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter, then sprinkle half of the chopped Butterfinger bars on top.
- Pour the remaining cheesecake batter over this layer, followed by the remaining caramel sauce and Butterfinger pieces.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the center is set and the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of espresso powder to the cheesecake batter.
- You can substitute the Butterfinger bars with your favorite candy bars, such as Snickers or Reese’s, for a different twist.
