Description
Cabbage and Beef Burgers are a delicious and healthy twist on traditional burgers, packed with flavor and nutrients.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cups green cabbage, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped cabbage, onion, garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, paprika, and oregano. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Form the mixture into burger patties, about 1/2 inch thick. You should get approximately 6 patties.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
- Transfer the browned patties to a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Remove from the oven and let the burgers rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the meat mixture.
- Serve the burgers with your favorite toppings, such as avocado, cheese, or a dollop of sour cream for added flavor.
