Description

A refreshing and flavorful salad combining cabbage, ham, and a variety of colorful vegetables, perfect as a side dish or light main course.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups green cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 cup cooked ham, diced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, diced ham, cherry tomatoes, shredded carrots, red bell pepper, and green onions. Toss gently to mix the ingredients evenly.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and toss until all the ingredients are well coated.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve chilled as a side dish or light main course.

Notes

  • For added crunch, consider mixing in some chopped nuts, such as walnuts or pecans.
  • Substitute the ham with cooked chicken or turkey for a different protein option.
