Description
A quick and tasty recipe for Cabbage and Ground Beef Stir-Fry that is easy to prepare and packed with flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cups green cabbage, chopped
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
- Add the sliced onion, garlic, and ginger to the skillet. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent and fragrant.
- Stir in the chopped cabbage and cook for another 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
- Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, and add the red pepper flakes if using. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
- For a low-carb option, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken.
- Add other vegetables like bell peppers, carrots, or snap peas for extra color and nutrition.
