Ingredients
-
8 oz fettuccine pasta (or your preferred pasta)
-
1 lb steak, thinly sliced (ribeye or sirloin recommended)
-
½ lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
-
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning, divided
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1 tablespoon butter
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
Optional garnish: chopped fresh parsley, red pepper flakes
Instructions
-
Cook the Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add fettuccine and cook until al dente, according to package directions. Drain and set aside. -
Season the Meat & Shrimp:
Toss the sliced steak with 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning. Season the shrimp with the remaining tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, ensuring even coverage. -
Sear the Steak:
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and just cooked through. Transfer to a plate and set aside. -
Cook the Shrimp:
In the same skillet, heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Cook the shrimp for about 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the steak. -
Make the Alfredo Sauce:
In a clean saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1 minute. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Whisk in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. -
Combine Everything:
Add the drained pasta to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat. Gently stir in the cooked steak and shrimp. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of pasta water or cream to loosen it up.
-
Serve:
Plate the pasta hot, garnished with chopped parsley and red pepper flakes if desired.
Notes
-
Adjust Cajun seasoning to your spice preference—mild or bold!
-
Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach for extra texture and flavor.
-
For best results, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for a smoother sauce.
-
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for 2–3 days and reheated gently on the stove with a splash of cream.
