Description

Campfire Banana Boats are a fun and delicious dessert made by grilling bananas stuffed with marshmallows and chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your campfire or grill to medium heat.
  2. Slice each banana lengthwise, leaving the peel on. Be careful not to cut all the way through.
  3. Gently open the banana slightly to create a pocket.
  4. Stuff the pocket with mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, and chopped nuts if using.
  5. Wrap each banana in aluminum foil, sealing it tightly.
  6. Place the wrapped bananas on the campfire coals or grill for about 5-10 minutes, until the chocolate and marshmallows are melted.
  7. Carefully remove the foil (it will be hot!) and enjoy your gooey treat right from the peel.

Notes

  • For a fun twist, try adding peanut butter or caramel sauce inside the banana before wrapping it.
  • Use different types of chocolate chips, like white chocolate or butterscotch, for a unique flavor.
