Description

A delicious layered dessert featuring creamy cheesecake, caramel, and fresh apples.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups diced apples (about 2 medium apples)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup caramel sauce, divided
  • 1 package (14 ounces) graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, toss the diced apples with lemon juice and cinnamon.
  5. In a trifle dish or individual serving cups, layer half of the graham cracker crumbs at the bottom.
  6. Add half of the cream cheese mixture on top of the crumbs, followed by half of the caramel sauce and half of the apple mixture.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining graham cracker crumbs, cream cheese mixture, caramel sauce, and apples.
  8. If using, sprinkle the chopped pecans on top.
  9. Chill the trifle in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For a spicier flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or ginger to the apple mixture.
  • Substitute the apples with pears or peaches for a different fruit twist.
