  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt. Stir until the mixture comes to a boil. Allow it to boil for 2 minutes without stirring.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and baking soda. Be cautious as the mixture will bubble up.
  4. In a large bowl, roll out the crescent dough and pinch the seams together to form a rectangle.
  5. Spread the heavy cream evenly over the dough and sprinkle the pecan halves on top.
  6. Pour half of the caramel mixture over the pecans, then roll the dough tightly from one end to the other.
  7. Slice the rolled dough into 1-inch pieces and place them cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Drizzle the remaining caramel mixture over the top of the rolls.
