Description
Caramel Candy Pecan Roll is a delightful dessert that combines the sweetness of caramel with the nuttiness of pecans, creating a perfect indulgence for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 cups pecan halves
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt. Stir until the mixture comes to a boil. Allow it to boil for 2 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and baking soda. Be cautious as the mixture will bubble up.
- In a large bowl, roll out the crescent dough and pinch the seams together to form a rectangle.
- Spread the heavy cream evenly over the dough and sprinkle the pecan halves on top.
- Pour half of the caramel mixture over the pecans, then roll the dough tightly from one end to the other.
- Slice the rolled dough into 1-inch pieces and place them cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
- Drizzle the remaining caramel mixture over the top of the rolls.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For an extra touch, try adding a pinch of cinnamon to the caramel mixture for a warm spice flavor.
- You can substitute walnuts for pecans for a different nutty taste.
