Description
A delicious layered dessert combining rich brownie, creamy cheesecake, and sweet caramel.
Ingredients
- 2 cups brownie mix (plus ingredients required on the package)
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
- 1 cup whipped cream (for topping)
Instructions
- Prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions and allow to cool completely. Once cooled, cut the brownies into small squares.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
- In a trifle dish or individual serving glasses, layer the ingredients starting with a layer of brownie squares.
- Follow with a layer of the cream cheese mixture, then drizzle with caramel sauce, and sprinkle with chocolate chips and chopped pecans if using.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of the cream cheese mixture on top.
- Top the trifle with whipped cream and drizzle additional caramel sauce over the top.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a layer of crushed Oreos between the brownie and cream cheese layers.
- You can substitute the caramel sauce with chocolate sauce for a different twist.
