Description
Caramel Crush Bars Dessert is a delightful treat that combines the flavors of graham crackers, chocolate, and nuts, topped with a creamy condensed milk layer.
Ingredients
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined and crumbly.
- Press the graham cracker mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form a crust.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until smooth.
- Pour the condensed milk mixture over the graham cracker crust, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips, shredded coconut, and chopped nuts over the top of the condensed milk layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely in the baking dish. For best results, refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.
- Once chilled, cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- For a chocolatey twist, use chocolate graham crackers instead of regular ones for the crust.
- Add a layer of caramel sauce on top before serving for extra sweetness and flavor.
