These delightful caramel peanut butter brownie bites are a perfect treat for any occasion, combining rich chocolate flavor with creamy peanut butter and a gooey caramel center.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter in the microwave or on the stovetop. Once melted, add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, stirring until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Drop spoonfuls of peanut butter over the batter, then drizzle half of the caramel sauce on top.
- Pour the remaining brownie batter over the peanut butter and caramel layers, smoothing it out.
- Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce over the top and sprinkle with chopped peanuts if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake.
- Allow the brownie bites to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before cutting them into small squares or bites.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a pinch of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
- You can also substitute the caramel sauce with chocolate ganache for a double chocolate treat.
