Description
Caramel Pecan Pie Lasagna is a delicious layered dessert that combines the flavors of caramel, pecans, and cream cheese, all on a graham cracker crust.
Ingredients
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until well combined and press into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form the crust.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
- Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the graham cracker crust in the baking dish.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until the mixture is smooth and bubbling. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Pour half of the brown sugar mixture over the cream cheese layer, then sprinkle half of the chopped pecans on top.
- Repeat the layers: spread the remaining cream cheese mixture over the pecans, pour the remaining brown sugar mixture on top, and finish with the remaining chopped pecans. If desired, sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the layers to set.
- Before serving, let the lasagna sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes for easier slicing.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, consider adding a layer of caramel sauce between the layers.
- You can also substitute walnuts for pecans if you prefer a different nut.
