Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pie pan and spread it evenly.
- Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter.
- Pour the remaining brownie batter on top and spread it out.
- Finish by drizzling the rest of the caramel sauce over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the pie to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of espresso powder to the batter.
- You can substitute walnuts for pecans if you prefer a different nut.
- For a fun twist, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
