Description

A rich and indulgent dessert combining the flavors of caramel, chocolate, and nuts in a brownie pie.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
  7. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pie pan and spread it evenly.
  8. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter.
  9. Pour the remaining brownie batter on top and spread it out.
  10. Finish by drizzling the rest of the caramel sauce over the top.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  12. Allow the pie to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of espresso powder to the batter.
  • You can substitute walnuts for pecans if you prefer a different nut.
  • For a fun twist, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
