Description
A creamy and cheesy cauliflower dish baked to perfection, perfect as a side or main dish.
Ingredients
- 2 heads of cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the cauliflower florets and cook for about 5 minutes until slightly tender. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the heavy cream, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat and stir in the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until melted and smooth.
- Combine the cooked cauliflower with the cheese sauce, mixing well to coat all the florets.
- Pour the cauliflower mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a smoky flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika.
- You can substitute the cauliflower with broccoli or a mix of both for a different taste and texture.
