Description
Cheesesteak Hamburger Helper is a delicious and easy one-pan meal that combines the flavors of a classic cheesesteak with the convenience of a pasta dish.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then add the uncooked elbow macaroni.
- Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the provolone and cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
- Serve immediately, garnished with additional cheese or fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the beef mixture.
- You can also substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- For a vegetarian version, use plant-based ground meat and vegetable broth.
