Description

Cheesesteak Hamburger Helper is a delicious and easy one-pan meal that combines the flavors of a classic cheesesteak with the convenience of a pasta dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  5. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  6. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then add the uncooked elbow macaroni.
  7. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
  8. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  9. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the provolone and cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  10. Serve immediately, garnished with additional cheese or fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the beef mixture.
  • You can also substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • For a vegetarian version, use plant-based ground meat and vegetable broth.
