Description

Cheesy Bacon Brussels Sprouts are a delicious and creamy side dish that combines the flavors of crispy bacon and cheesy goodness with tender Brussels sprouts.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
  3. Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the skillet with the bacon drippings. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are slightly browned and tender.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  5. Add the sautéed Brussels sprouts and half of the cooked bacon to the cream cheese mixture. Stir until the Brussels sprouts are well coated.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and sprinkle the remaining bacon and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute turkey bacon for regular bacon.
  • Add a sprinkle of chopped green onions or fresh parsley on top for added color and flavor before serving.
