Description
Cheesy Bacon Brussels Sprouts are a delicious and creamy side dish that combines the flavors of crispy bacon and cheesy goodness with tender Brussels sprouts.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 6 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
- Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the skillet with the bacon drippings. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are slightly browned and tender.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Add the sautéed Brussels sprouts and half of the cooked bacon to the cream cheese mixture. Stir until the Brussels sprouts are well coated.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and sprinkle the remaining bacon and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute turkey bacon for regular bacon.
- Add a sprinkle of chopped green onions or fresh parsley on top for added color and flavor before serving.
