Description
A delicious and hearty casserole made with ground beef, rice, and topped with melted cheddar cheese, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can (15 ounces) green beans, drained
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic until the beef is fully cooked and the onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes (with juice), green beans, cooked rice, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let it simmer for about 5 minutes to combine the flavors.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture.
- You can also substitute the green beans with frozen mixed vegetables for a colorful twist.
