Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them over.
- Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the burgers reach your desired doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, prepare the lemon butter. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, and minced garlic until well combined.
