Description
These Golden Cheesy Garlic Cruffins are a crispy, cheesy, and buttery treat that make the perfect appetizer or side dish. With layers of crescent roll dough, rich garlic butter, and melted cheddar cheese, each bite is a delicious explosion of flavor!
Ingredients
For the dough: refrigerated crescent roll sheets.
For the filling: unsalted butter (softened), chives (finely chopped), garlic (minced), mild cheddar cheese (shredded).
For the garlic butter topping: unsalted butter (melted), garlic (minced), chives (finely chopped), kosher salt.
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough – Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 12-cup muffin tin. Roll out each crescent roll sheet into a 12×16-inch rectangle.
- Make the Filling – In a bowl, mix softened butter, chives, and garlic. Spread one-third of the mixture over a dough sheet and sprinkle 1 cup of cheddar cheese on top.
- Roll and Cut – Roll the dough into a log, starting from the long side. Cut the log into two shorter pieces, then slice each in half lengthwise to create four strips. Repeat with the remaining dough sheets.
- Shape the Cruffins – Roll each strip into a spiral, with layers facing outward, and place each cruffin into the muffin tin.
- Bake to Perfection – Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. While baking, prepare the garlic butter topping.
- Add the Finishing Touch – Mix melted butter, garlic, chives, and salt. Brush over the warm cruffins before serving.
Notes
- For extra cheesiness, add a sprinkle of Parmesan before baking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven for 5 minutes at 325°F.
- Serve with marinara sauce or garlic aioli for dipping.
Enjoy these flaky, cheesy, and buttery Garlic Cruffins with any meal or as a stand-alone snack!
