Ingredients
- 2 pounds fresh mussels, cleaned and debearded
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Place the cleaned mussels in a single layer on a baking sheet. Spoon the cheesy mayo mixture generously over each mussel.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the mayo mixture.
- You can also substitute the mussels with clams or shrimp for a different seafood experience.
