Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 3 cups rotisserie chicken, shredded
  • 3 medium green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 cup ranch salad dressing
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 (16-inch) loaf Italian bread
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 (8 oz) package chive and onion cream cheese, softened
  • 3 cups Colby-jack cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Cook the bacon until crispy, then crumble it.
    • Shred the rotisserie chicken into bite-sized pieces.
    • Chop the green onions finely.
  2. Prep the Bread:
    • Cut the Italian bread in half lengthwise.
    • Hollow out some of the soft bread to create space for the filling.
    • Brush the inside of both halves with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic salt.
  3. Mix the Filling:
    • In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, bacon, green onions, cream cheese, ranch dressing, onion powder, and 2 cups of shredded Colby-jack cheese.
    • Mix thoroughly until evenly combined.
  4. Assemble the Stuffed Bread:
    • Spoon the chicken-bacon mixture evenly into the hollowed-out bread halves.
    • Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of Colby-jack cheese on top.
  5. Bake to Perfection:
    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Place the stuffed bread halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
    • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
    • Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  6. Serve & Enjoy:
    • Slice into thick portions and serve hot.
    • Pair with a side salad, soup, or enjoy as a standalone meal.

  • Try different cheeses like cheddar or mozzarella for variation.
  • Add sautéed mushrooms or bell peppers for extra flavor.
  • Swap ranch dressing for buffalo sauce for a spicy twist.
