Description
A quick and tasty Chicken Green Bean Stir Fry recipe that is perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, sliced into thin strips
- 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice or noodles, for serving
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced chicken breast to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the green beans and red bell pepper. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet and stir-fry for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and chicken broth. Pour this sauce over the vegetables in the skillet.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to combine everything. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is heated through.
- Serve the stir fry over cooked rice or noodles.
Notes
- For added flavor, marinate the chicken in soy sauce and ginger for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Feel free to substitute the green beans with broccoli, snap peas, or bell peppers for a different vegetable mix.
