  • 4 cups green cabbage, shredded

  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili paste (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in the shredded cabbage and julienned carrots, cooking for an additional 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the rice vinegar, soy sauce, chili paste, sugar, black pepper, and white pepper. Pour this mixture over the cooked vegetables.
  6. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
