Description
A delicious and easy-to-make Chocolate Caramel Dump Cake that combines chocolate cake mix, caramel sauce, and chocolate chips for a delightful dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In the prepared baking dish, pour the dry chocolate cake mix evenly across the bottom.
- Drizzle the sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce over the cake mix.
- Sprinkle the semi-sweet chocolate chips over the top. If using, add the chopped nuts.
- Pour the melted butter evenly over the entire mixture.
- Carefully pour the water over the top without stirring.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
- Let the cake cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the melted butter before pouring it over the cake.
- You can substitute the chocolate cake mix with a vanilla or yellow cake mix for a different taste.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat!
